Merovingians The fibula from Limons (France, 6th century A.D.) shows the unique style of the Merovingians. The letters Chi, Rho, Alpha and Omega are placed around the image of Christ in the form of a cross. It is surrounded by stylized animals from Scandinavia. Christan and originally pagan symbols occur here together at the same time. The decision between Valhalla and Paradise had not yet been made. The meaning of the symbols was to protect health and life, especially of women.     Merowinger Die einzigartige Kunst der Merowinger wird in der Zierscheibe aus Limons, Frankreich, 6. Jh. v.
